The Village Administrative Offices will be closed in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday on Thursday, November 22nd and Friday, November 23rd.
All residential refuse collection will be provided as normal. All residential recyclable collection will be provided on Wednesday, November 21st. Commercial cardboard collection will be held on Tuesday, November 20th.
Don’t forget to vote on Tuesday, November 6th. The Village of Versailles has a referendum, Issue 16, regarding the rezoning of the property at 732 E. Main Street from residential to business. A vote YES would support the rezoning to allow future business use of the property and a vote NO would maintain the property at its current residential zone status.
With recent upgrades to Spectrum TV the Village of Versailles local government channel has changed from channel 18 to channel 1021. The local government channel notifies residents of Council and other committee meetings, Village news, etc. Any not-for-profit organizations in town may request to have their events advertised on the channel by emailing [email protected] or [email protected].
The restroom facilities at both Ward Park and Indian Creek Park will be closed for the season Friday, October 26th. Park playground equipment, tennis courts, and green spaces remain open for activities through the cold weather months. The restroom facilities will reopen in the Spring when temperatures allow.
The Village of Versailles has been notified that the ODOT paving project for S. Center St. (south of Marker Rd. and out of the corporation limits) as well as Main St. (West St. eastward to railroad tracks) is currently on hold due to cold temperatures. ODOT is unable to permit paving activities when ground temperatures are below 60 degrees due to the special asphalt mix that is planned to be used for the paving project. The Village will continue to update as information becomes available.
